Patrick Paine is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work includes pottery, hard edge geometric sculpture and drawings, collage, photography, site-based rubbings, and sculptural installations inspired by architectural geometry, lunar phenomena, and modern literature. His technical background includes investigations into ceramics, woodworking, graphic design, digital fabrication, and sculpture. These techniques are often merged to create work based on observations of contemporary life. Recent exhibitions include Can You Move It All Up One Inch? at ArtHelix in Bushwick, Brooklyn, Ghosts in the Machine at White Box Gallery, NYC, and Bushwick Open Studios. Paine is currently Installation Coordinator at the Met Breuer and works from his studio in Brooklyn.
